Firewing - Compiler syntax based on VB.net

I just received my Firewing boards so I got something new to play with The Firewing compiler is free to download and it supports the 16bit microchip devices, the language syntax is similar to that used by VB.NET too

I just noticed that David Barker is in on this. Very interesting!

Indeed he his.. The LCD plus sheild has got lots of functions, LCD, SD Card, Light sensor, RTC clock, DS18B20 and Buttons. Very useful board..

I've had on my mind to make a Columns type game (like on the old school sega megadrive) maybe I could use this IDE

Cool, Ive actually just ordered a prototype shield which I thought about putting a 8x8 matrix on it and maybe controlling it with a 74HC595

I've actually had a lot of interest from students lately with them wanting to build their own retroball unit.

So i'm looking into ordering all the parts for them to build one for themselves. I have been thinking of other games to make in the mean time - I would absolutely love to make a full dining table retro ball game

When you say full dining table of the Retroball? WOW! that'l be alot of LED boards all linked together imagin that in RGB!!..
