Hi all,

I know we all get a little busy (well, very busy) So I thought i'd just start a little thread here where you can let us all know what's going on in your world :D

For me, we are selling our house very soon now, so I have been working hard around the house getting some landscaping done etc... i have also been busy with work and hanging out with my wife and two young kids. I also play drums and bass (not at the same time) at our church, so together with my electronics projects - I am kept quite busy.

So feel free to let us all know what's keeping you busy :)

I have a five year old and he keeps me pretty busy. I come home and there is yard work to be done and he wants me to play Wii with him. He likes the Mario party games. I found a store that sells all of the old retro games and we bought a "Retro Duo" machine that plays the Mario games 1 through 3 because he likes them so much. The Retro Duo plays the 8 bit games like the original Donkey Kong and the 16 bit games. The older controllers are also more enjoyable than the Wii remote. We had some problems with the older games because the store had to use an emery board and alcohol to clean them but the store takes care of us.

My son is starting kindergarden so it means that I'll be spending more time observing him doing homework and making sure that he stays focused and up to speed. It means that I have to help and guide him a little along the way. It means that I'll probably check out the parent teacher association and I have to read with him because it will help him learn new words. He also wants to go back to AWANA this year.

I write Bible studies and Biblical articles and I talk to two other pastors on another website. .

I would like to do some microcontroller work but I have to work on getting one of our rooms straitened out so I can put a train platform up. I have to cut the hedge back before fall comes and I have pulled some roots out of the ground with rubber gloves because we had poison ivy plants that kept coming back. I'm working on a garden that needs help because we want to plant more tomato plants next year. We may even plant cherry tomatoes.

I want to plant some trees like plumb and apple trees in my yard.

My wife likes watching football and baseball. She likes playing with us and she likes to do a lot of reading.

We have a dog (Maltese) and a cat.

I recently just got back from a few days holiday, nowhere exciting though! but atleast it didnt rain (good old british weather) haha..

most of my time is spent at work, just can't get away from the place!
not by choice by the way. :)
but when im not there im sat at this computer tinkering with asm or my new swordfish basic, or reading books which have something to do with programming or microchips.

Ive also been learning some JAVA-6 and building an application with a mate which is designed to work with my 24x24 led matrix which I have just finished building, check out the forum!

I also play abit football (soccer) and support manchester united, so I also travel to a few football games at weekends.

I dont have any children to look after, but I have 3 dogs haha!

oh and just one other thing I spend alot of time on here!! :D

Nice to hear from you guys!

It's unfortunate but due to the fact that I have not had too much time to actually work on my projects, I find it hard to get motivated when I do get a bit of time.

As I am sure you are all aware - you really need to take time to sit down and nut out the programming problems. I find it hard to come back to a project after days or weeks and get back into the swing of things...

On a side note, WHERE IS STACEY?????

I find it hard to be motivated when I put together a complete Prototype on a breadboard for my GLCD display, finally get the bugs worked out then find all of the wires pulled out laying on the floor the next morning... yep - 3 year old.

That was frustrating...
