There are some cheaper SMT practice board kits on Ebay for cheaper but they don't have as many parts to practice on. Just put "SMT Practice Boards" in Ebay's search box.

They have some other goodies like an 8x8x8 3D cube with case, a six leg and 18 servo motor spider robot, and sensors.

That's a good idea. Does that board do anything? it looks like it might...

I received an email from them:

"After soldered, all the LEDs will light up. Then it can be used as a LED panel."
