I'm with you on that one Odessa, it seems way to much work for a dodgy capacitor.
Those atmel's are interesting - again, I can't see how it would be financially beneficial for them. It just looks like too much work.

It isn't hard for people in a warehouse to pull the wrong part off of a shelf. From a manufacturing point of view, it wouldn't be hard to put a lesser product into a more expensive shell when you are already doing manufacturing.
From what I hear, people who want their boards made in China have to inspect that they aren't getting desoldered parts put into their boards.
