The title isn't accurate. It should be "35% of Engineering Jobs listed now require 3D Printing Skills" Either way, it may be a significant skill to get a job in the future or it could be a bias against job applicants:

It's an impressive technology; but I think the requirement would have to be for mechanical. Since I design circuits, lay out PC boards, write embedded software, write user and installation manuals, and write instructions for our production people to follow, I have no use for 3D printing, and no interest in mechanical design work.
