That is one smart high-schooler!

It makes my projects seem very, very safe in comparison!

Re: Bullet Train game

While I have to admit that i've not been particularly helpful lately due to time constraints @tumbleweed it seems that your post was made in order to put MrDEB down. If I've got that wrong then I apologise however regardless of someones coding ability - let's show some respect, after all the very re...

Garth - are you looking to go for 8-bit microcontrollers or are you looking to beef things up a bit and go for 16 or 32-bit microcontrollers?

Re: PCB LAYOUT TIPS AND TRICKS

Very handy PCB layout tips there Chuck. I have used the capacitor trick before so you can fit different sized caps in, but I haven't tried any of the others. The trimpot would certainly come in handy since I've been working on a PCB where I wasn't sure of the exact type of trimpot that I would be us...

Great to hear your kids like them, unfortunately I don't have any left.

When I get some time though I will most probably look at getting a new batch made and will then sell them on Tindie. Sorry I can't help more at the moment though.

Re: 340+ ICs on one PCB!

Perhaps they didn't have pull-up / down resistors in there and had issues?

Re: 340+ ICs on one PCB!

I like it how they ran out of room, so the SIP resistors needed to be tacked on.

Re: A FPGA controlled RGB LED MATRIX for Incredible Effects

I've done quite a few projects with these RGB Matrix displays using an 8-bit microcontroller and there's no way they would have the power to do animations like those!

Re: Japan will recycle old phones to create medals for the 2

I imagine there would be many phones needed to make a single medal. Maybe they could just put a phone on a ribbon and put it around their heads?

Re: Rust on Lithium Battery

I would like to think they have some sort of standard for sealing them. Could you imagine what would happen if you dropped your phone in the bath or basin and the water instantly made its way to the inside of the battery.

Re: Set pixel in the world, not on the screen.

Sorry for the late reply and welcome back :)

I am sure you could come up with some sort of macro that would scan through the progmem data and paint a picture for you to then save as a PNG, however making that work could very well take longer than remaking the map.
