Christmas Tree Project
Well it's coming up to that time of year again!, here's a quick project I put together for some christmas decorations. It's a 16 led christmas tree controlled by using 2x shift registers 74595's. I know this isn't anything new because I've seen many kits around for this type of thing but I wanted to...

Re: Set pixel in the world, not on the screen.
If you need help installing the digipixel library after updating to the latest Arduino IDE then you can find more info here https://www.arduino.cc/en/Guide/Libraries#toc2 I normally just put the digipixel folder (unzipped) into the Arduino library folder and restart the Arduino IDE if you have the I...

Re: Set pixel in the world, not on the screen.
Can you post the code that doesn't work? Because I have tried your code you posted and added more to it and it runs with no problems, even over 17000 memory bytes. That is the code that doesn't work. Did you press B or down on the rope? Or jump in the lava? Those two things use getPixel. The button...

Re: Set World pixel function.
Unfortunately, Swordfish Basic is just for the 18F series of PIC microcontrollers. I very much prefer coding in it rather than any other programming language that I have used but unfortunately it just does not have a big fan base anymore. There used to be a wonderful thriving community for Swordfis...

DSO138 DIY Digital Oscilloscope Kit SMD Soldered 13803K Vers
I thought this DIY Oscilloscope was worth sharing, it is in no way a professional oscilloscope but it's certainly is good enough to display wave forms. I think it's neat for the price $23 (£15). Note: There is two versions of this board, the earlier version had noise issues but the following link is...

Re: Microchip Curiosity board
I think that is the first low cost dev board I've seen from microchip too, that actually uses a good range of pics (not many 18F though  ), I see it has a the MikroElectronika Click footprint too, http://www.mikroe.com/click/ http://www.mikroe.com/img/development-tools/accessory-boards/click/8x...

Re: RGB Matrix with wireless control
This is a nice project idea!.. My experience with these are only with Arduino, I was going to get something made up for Swordfish but the project didn't get finished :( I do have some great videos which are really worth watching, and very helpful.. I will link below, they should help get you started...

Re: Image conversion software
There is a MikroBasic Library for 74595 which supports upto four 74595's, you can find it here - MikroBasic shift register. The Library Help File will explain how to use/install the Library into MikroBasic, read the Help File on the webpage, it will also explain how to setup everything and send the ...

Re: Saleae Logic Analyzer just got a lot better
Does it give you real time analog data (like an oscilloscope) or does it just capture it for you to look at after the capture? Real time data? That's a good question, At release of the new device it is just capture data but it is something that they have planned to add to the software. Here are som...
