Hi Karsten
Sounds like a great idea to get the kids into programming!
You can get the Digipixel from digiStump which can be found here.
Brad may have other sources but the above link is all I know about..

Saleae Logic Analyzer just got a lot better
Brad will probably agree with me here that the Saleae Logic Analyzer is one of the best tools you can have for debugging/testing digital data lines, it surely has saved me a lot of time and frustration when it as come to checking your logic levels and timings. And has helped me find the problem to m...

Re: DayZ Standalone - Last server info
What was the bug with the GUI? Well basically my string algorithm relied on the data within the GUI richtextbox to be a certain value, and every test I did on my computer the GUI worked fine.. When the GUI was tested on another windows operating system I found that my string algorithm broke, which ...

Re: DayZ Standalone - Last server info
How do you find VS 2013 compared to earlier versions (like 2008 or 2010?) In my opinion it's a little harder to use because the icons are now black and white rather than colour :) Yes that's definitely been an issue, I also don't like the fact that the IDE don't save your settings (view, font, size...

Re: DayZ Standalone - Last server info
A handy piece of software bitfogav, how did you extract the data you were looking for? Some sort of keyword search that then grabs the data after the keyword maybe? Yes that's pretty spot on what I did Brad.. I used a visual basic streamreader to read the file and then used several visual basic str...

Re: Controlling an LCD backlight - example using a mosfet
Oh no that's not good  I see loads of usb doctors around the internet so why would they think you copied them? but glad you got it sorted in the end.. I actually like the retro look of your display, I think the layout of the leds are actually neat. And I'm glad to be on board of the kickstarter...

I didn't take your comment in that way anyway bud so no worriesbrad wrote:I didn't mean it at all to sound like you were dumb and that the only kind of circuit that you could design is a simple one!
Sorry if that's how it sounded...
I see the USB Meter is doing well on kickstarter.

Re: Controlling an LCD backlight - example using a mosfet
Indeed a simple design The project as a few buttons so I was thinking of having a user "lcd settings" menu to which the brightness of the LCD could be controlled..
The thing I like is that the pic as it's own on board PWM module, you just set it up and it runs in the back ground

Controlling an LCD backlight - example using a mosfet
A recent project as required me to use an LCD (cheap 16x2) but I needed a way of controlling the LCD backlight, mostly to save power when the PIC is in sleep mode.. The LCD backlight only needed to either be fully on or completely off so a good transistor could have been used, but I decided to make ...

Re: Contemplating a new 8 x 24 LED display
SHughes as given a great explanation on how to control the max7219 on the SF forum. To help you understand, the DOUT output of the first MAX7219 mirrors the DIN input but 'delayed' by two bytes. So if you send 4 bytes then do a latch the second MAX7219 will get the first two bytes and the first MAX7...

Re: Dirty PCBs
I second that, iTeadstudio - I ordered some pcb's last Monday and got them in the post the following Monday, 1 week later, ok I did pay a bit extra for fast shipping but that's fast turn around from Shenzhen (China) to the UK.. Don't forget though, if you opt out of the open source then you usually ...

Re: Swordfish board for Arduino - work in progress
The red boards are definitely my favourite. Nice choice - they have come up just perfectly bitfogav. Now it looks as though you've got yourself a home made reflow oven, how is that controlled? is there any problem with the sensing element coming desoldered in there? The red boards do look great :) ...
