Thanks Brad.. so wouldnt a Pickit2 work to programme the epprom?, also I take it you have to programme the 27c512 chip?? and not the 16F628? :) You need to program both. The eeprom holds the graphics whereas the pic holds that info to make the circuit work. You can't use the pickit 2 to program the...

Hi Brad,, Great site by the way... Just wondering on this 8x85 POV system, how do you save your picture (image) to the eeprom after making it using the HxD?? Do you save it to the microchips eeprom or the 27C512 chip that you use in your project?? Thanks very much :) To save your picture (hex file)...

Just Curious, with the matrix LED sign you have all the LED anodes in a given ROW feeding to one transistor, and all the cathodes in a column feeding to another transistor. Thanks for the information you gave me. However I don't understand the latch bit. When I send '0' to the enable everything is stored and when I send '1' to the enable it sends the data to the led's. I followed the directions - honest! :cry:
It's okay :D you just need to make sure that it ends with an image extension like .png or .jpg etc...

I really like this forum layout also! It took me ages and ages to get it looking like this all those years ago. editing every button and icon to make it look just right. Sorry, I meant to tell you how I did it in my last email. When you use the Img button to get the image tags, you need to make sure that the code inbetween is actually a direct link to a picture. The link you had in there was a link to a page that contained the picture. Ideally I would like to just h...
