Re: Teaching kids microcontrollers through Scratch..

I have not downloaded it. Probably won't get the chance anytime soon. Keep us posted as to what you think for beginners (like me)!

Re: Begginer books on learning electronics

I always thought your original assembly tutorials and 8x8 game system would make a great teaching tool for a classroom type setting. If the "modules" (as you called them) were refined a little bit, written in a text book setting, and a kit was provided with all the components, it would make a great ...

Re: Begginer books on learning electronics

I always believed that Microchip is missing out on a lot by not trying to appeal to the beginner community. After all, who are the people that are going to buy your product in the future? They have gotten better over the last few years but still need to work on that part of the community. Years ago ...

Sure, but what happens when I get requests for more fridges. There are only a finite number of PICnDuinos available. I guess that will make these mini fridges very rare collectable items someday!

If I weren't so lazy, I would have published about 100 magazines by now!

Re: Make your own E-Books

Hey Chuck, I just noticed this post (quite late). Here is yet another option if you would like to create and publish your own magazine... http://www.magcloud.com/ You can publish books, magazines, etc. They will handle all the printing and mailing. There is no need to warehouse anything as they prin...

Re: Amicus IDE TUTORIAL

I have 25 of them I think. I got them when we were going to do the bicycle POV. If I use them for anything I would like to program them in BASIC but if there is no support then I'll just figure somthing else out. Sadly, all of my projects require little programming, and there really is no need to us...

That's just the kind of thing I am talking about. I think it would make a pretty cool mini fridge. :)

Re: Amicus IDE TUTORIAL

He did a nice job on those tutorials and the pages look like something out of a book. Unfortunately, it appears he lost interest. I checked his website which is really just a blog, and there is no mention of that tutorial. I don't even know how old they are. :? I still have a bunch of PIC18lf2420's ...

Re: PICnDuino used in mini fridge

One of the next mini fridge projects I plan to do is a League of Legends. I asked my son what he thought would be a cool video game theme (World of Warcraft, Halo, etc.). He suggested League of Legends because Riot games likes to highlight their community artwork, etc. For that, it would be cool to ...
