Re: CHEAP board houses?

I now use JLCPCB.com for my prototypes and then PCBWAY.com for when I need bulk batches made and assembled :)

Re: Linear feedback shift register in DigiRule assembly

I'm sorry for the late reply here dylan, but I don't often drop by my own forum...

Great work with your code and I appreciate you sharing it, i'll have to punch it into my Digirule 2A and give it a go :)

Re: Vulcan-74: A 6502 Retro MegaProject

Hi Brad and Garth. Unfortunately this forum is no longer the thriving community that it used to be. However this is certainly due mostly to my commitments changing. I haven't worked on any electronic projects in quite a few months now - with my latest completed project being the Digirule2 back in Ap...

Re: great danger from cell-phone use

It would be interesting to see the results of an experiment (or multiple experiments) that have all the correct control measures in place. Certainly there are many variables that should be taken into consideration to determine the cause of why some plants or flowers etc. grow better than others. If ...

Re: JLCPCB - PCB only $2 :)

Well, this is my first post in a long time. My electronic projects are essentially non-existent these days. I've wanted to spend more time with the kids and teach them things instead of just hiding away spending time on my own projects. Good to see your project is working as you wanted it to and als...

By the way - it looks like some sort of CAN-BUS interface circuit... interesting :)

Re: Is there anyone know SMT parts?

That's a clever idea - simply making a new part with offset pads - i'd never thought of that. I've always been sticking to my limitations of 90° or 45° angles!

Re: Is there anyone know SMT parts?

I've been using Diptrace for around 10 or 11 years and has been fantastic however similar to your software - I can only seem to rotate components 45° or 90° which can be a little bit annoying depending on what I'm designing.

Re: Is there anyone know SMT parts?

That's impressive fitting all those components under the board Garth. Were auto routers a thing back in those days? or was it all laid out manually?

Re: JLCPCB - PCB only $2 :)

I don't know why I didn't see this earlier bitfogav,

I've been using JLCPCB for a while now - they are fantastic quality, speedy service and so cheap!

It's a shame they don't have Matte colour options however. How did your boards go?

Re: Circuitmaker

I can't believe it's been two months since I logged in to the forum - sorry Garth! To be honest I found kicad to be a little harder to use compared to diptrace and basically gave it a miss. I've been using diptrace for about 10 or 11 years now and have found it to be a fantastic program. It did cost...

I had always wondered how/why postage from China was so cheap. Electronics stores in Australia have gone the same way unfortunately.

If your not a spammer - then I would agree, this is a strange place to post about dog fences (well, at least it seems strange for a first post anyway). But to be honest, I have very little experience with dogs and even less experience with dog fences!
