My Latest Project – Twins!

I am proud to introduce my latest project – my twin boys!

Joel Thomas Slattery and Isaac James Slattery.

They are wonderful little boys and were born on Friday 25th October 2013 at 10:20am and then 10:21am.

I have designed many electronic projects over the years which involve countless hours of circuit design, coding, testing and troubleshooting. These projects are nothing compared to what God has created – in this case my two little boys.

It’s been a while since I have uploaded anything here. The boys were flown in to Wagga (from Canberra) on Monday morning and are now at Wagga base hospital. It was quite a shock to the system coming to Wagga (even though our older boys Ben and Noah were born there.) Joel and Isaac had just come from a week and a half ‘holiday’ at the brand new Canberra hospital for women and children. They enjoyed a third story ‘apartment’ with views of the helicopter landing pad and of the hills of Canberra. They had their own nurse 24 hours a day and 7 days a week tending to their every need 🙂

Then when they arrived in Wagga they were put into a room with lots of crying babies and a handful of nurses to tend to them all, but the boys didn’t seem to mind 🙂 It was a huge blessing to have been able to have such a wonderful time in Canberra, all the staff there were fantastic and being able to stay at Ronald McDonald House was a wonderful blessing. The staff at Wagga are also very helpful, Australia has a very good public hospital system I think!

The boys are doing very well and Isaac is now out of his incubator crib. Joel will be in his for a while longer until he puts on some more weight. We’re all very much looking forward to getting the boys home though 🙂

Mine looked just like that when they were born. Now at 12, they’re almost as tall as I am… How time flies.
Enjoy being a father of twins.

Thanks Jan, I have to admit that it only seems like a few days ago that my oldest son (who’s turning 6 in a few weeks) was born. Time really does fly!
