Heres the lastest AVR Compiler Studio 5, its powered by Visual Studio, so if your familiar making Apps using Visual Studio 2010 then it should be easy to use.

Image

• 400 Example Projects
• Supports all 8- and 32-bit AVR
• Easy access to Datasheets and User Guides

I like how it gives you access to the Datasheets and device information.

I think that's a great idea to use a pre-existing software package! It would make the learning curve a lot easier for those wanting to get into microcontroller programming and have a background in Visual Studio
