hey brad, i really don't have a clue about how to program the pic you think you can tell me where to find a good tutorial or tell me witch part of the source code should i copy to my pic

All the info you should need is on Brads tutorials :)

heres the Assembly code for the flashing LED. Your still need to download MPLAB (compiler) to turn the code into HEX file so you can then use your pickit2 to load the HEX file onto your microchip.

MPLAB IDE v8.70 can be downloaded from the bottom of this page

I downloaded the MPLAB and I opened the source code on it but how do I turn it into a hex file?

Thanks that tutorial helped me understand a lot of things but I still don't quite know what to do after I opened the source code by MPLAB IDLE, I mean how do I copy it to the pickit2

sorry I forgot to read tutorial 2 but now i know how to turn it into a hex file. I have a problem connecting the chip to the pickit2 it says device no device detected even if my pic is connected to the program

You certainly can!

you just need to have the pickit2 connected as the image shows above. It does not matter that the microcontroller is still in the circuit :)

I dont know why when i click import hex file it says device error, hex file not loaded
