About 20 years ago, I knew someone in the industry who said that the smallest jet engine that you could buy was close to (roughly) three quarters of a million dollars and the examples he gave me were engines that you might be able to pick up but they weighed 260 pounds. I haven't verified this.

The man in the video has different technology than the ones that existed 20 years ago.
